List of dangerous substances

The Norwegian List of Dangerous Substances includes about 3500 chemicals that have been evaluated and classified as hazardous. The list forms part of the Norwegian regulations that implement EU legislation on classification, labelling and packaging (Directive 67/548/EEC).

Priority list of the most hazardous substances

The environmental authorities have drawn up a priority list of about 30 substances and groups of substances of particularly high concern. The list also sets national targets for the elimination of use and releases of these substances by  2020.

Common European lists of hazardous chemicals

With the introduction of the European chemicals legislation REACH  lists have been developed as tools to identify and regulate substances that may be damaging to health and the environment. The Candidate List and Authorisation List are two such important tools. More and more substances are suggested to be put on these lists.
