National targets

Good status by 2021
Norwegian inputs of nutrients and particulate matter to inland and marine waters that are being affected by eutrophication or sediment deposition will be reduced to a level that will ensure good chemical and ecological status by 2021.

No deterioration of water bodies
There will be no downgrading (deterioration)of the status of any water body as a result of an increase in inputs of nutrients or particular matter, in accordance with the requirements of the Water Management Regulations.
